Hi! I’m Austin

I’m 26 years old and located in Iowa. Over the years I have developed a passion for film photography and black and white portrait drawings.

My passion for film photography and drawing started from a very young age. As a child, I envisioned my future self taking pictures in the jungle as I was on some intense quest. That dream was crushed, as dreams do when children become young adults and realize how sadly unrealistic some ambitions can be.

My other passion, drawing, began at a young age as well. I made a drawing almost every night growing up. I’m pretty sure my Mom still has all of those so I may have to recover some of them at some point. Similarly to my photography dreams, I took a long break from drawing when I graduated high school and began college. School can be rough, especially when you’re getting a business degree that you have no true passion for.

After graduating, I picked back up on my long lost passions. I bought a Canon AE-1 Program to take on 35mm film photography AND I started drawing again! I have since taken hundreds of film photographs, made dozens of portrait drawings, and have rediscovered my passions from my childhood.
